Sit down for this, Ray Allen, J Oneal, Rajon Rondo plus both 1st rounders for Kobe and Derek Fisher

Rich Bucher was just talking about how the Lakers would be crazy not to at least explore trading Bryant. So it got me thinking if they really want the greatest guard since Oscar then give us KOBE take that Lebron.

Honestly it's pretty interesting on Both sides this year.

Bynum, Gasol, World Peace, Ray Allen ,Rondo could get it done.

Garnett, Bass, Pierce, Kobe, and Milt Palacio could win a Title. My Question is would we still have enough money for Howard with KG and Ray and Oneal off the books with Kobe's crazy salary.

Both GM's would be murdered by one of their own

Also, how about Marquis Daniels for Lebron James?

That's too much. Daniels is on a verge of breaking into Doc's rotation. Maybe second rounder. I said maybe.

This would have to be Pierce and Rondo for Kobe if it was going to happen.

Maybe even Ray Allen as well and we take on a bad contract. Obviously Ainge wouldn't do that. So I just don't see how this trade could ever work even if you take out the fact that these teams are literally each other's enemies and would be swapping organizational icons.

A trade like this would be truly epic, but there is just no way.

Other people have already mentioned that this is not a good basketball trade for LA and I agree.  And that's not even factoring in the sentimental value that Kobe has. You know we all want Pierce to retire a Celtic? Imagine if Pierce had been on the Celtics for 2 more years, won 5 titles instead of 1, and had had about a 20%-30% better overall career. That's what you're asking the Lakers to do.  When it comes to trading franchise icons, more than just basketball comes into play

Lets talk hypothetical for a moment, if it went down like this are we competing or favored to win a title with the two best closers in the game Pierce, Kobe, Garnett Bass And Derek Fisher.

 I say yes.

Thank you, Yogi, (a ray of sunshine in a weary world).

I'm really kind of an anti-negative guy of late, (hence my lack of consistent posting), but I gotta agree with this, (and TP it). I mean, seriously?!? Kobe Bryant in a Celtics uniform? Are you kidding me?!? I'd rather chew broken glass!

He is sooooooooooo completely NOT what Celtic pride and tradition is all about, and would undermine everything this franchise stands for.

I don't dislike the guy intensely just because he's a Laker, I dislike him because he's a lousy human being, and what he represents is what celebrity and class should be striving with all earnest to avoid.

Honestly, I've seen some head-spinning trade ideas on this blog over the last few months, (and stayed away for the sake of what I've now caught myself up in), but the day The Black Scumba becomes a Celtic, is the day my blood boils from green to red, and the day Causeway Street opens up a gateway to the underworld and swallows the Garden whole.

Please tell me this is just a reactionary, tongue-in-cheek, get-everybody's goat kind of joke post, cuz if not, I can think of many more appropriate descriptive phrases than heart-stopping, (though if Kobe did come to Boston, it most certainly would have that literal effect on a number of it's citizens).

(I was going to put an emoticon here, but there's just none that can do the job).

Disclaimer: I apologize for any detritus left in the wake of this post ... Kobe does that to me.

This is the dumbest post I have ever read. Lakers would NEVER trade Kobe to the Celtics.... Moving on...

this trade is better  ;D

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=5ve3men

then we go and make a complementary trade like this

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6nd2ev9

C Gortat
PF Garnett
SF Durant
SG Pierce
PG Rondo

its about as likely as the big three getting younger but it works in the trade machine  :D
