  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I don't think Faried is a superstar in the making but I'd still do this deal - we lock up a young big on his rookie deal who at least clearly has some chops in exchange for a guy who might not stick around next year and a 2nd.

Seconded. If you could trade 3 months of Brandon Bass for 3 years of DaJuan Blair on teh cheap, you do it.

i agree with you on the numbers, but faried wasnt picked for the rookie sophmore game, he doesnt really get played too much by george karl... i totally, totally agree with you on his potential and outperforming his draft position, but i think if you asked most poeple (and hopefully denvers front office) they wouldn't think he's worth a lottery pick (although he is worth a first rounder: a top 10). he's still a little under the radar at this point though. everything you said though is his actual value, and i agree.

Given the way the NBA works, Denver's front office will tend to value him more than the average fan off the street.  If he doesn't play a lot, it's because, just like JuJuan Johnson doesn't play a lot for the Celtics with Garnett and Bass ahead of him, Faried has Nene and Al Harrington ahead of him on the depth chart.

Farried is a guy Denver loves.

How can you not love this guy?

Denver has no interest in trading him, unless they get a STEAL. And a 2nd round pick and Brandon frickin Bass? LOL

Brandon Bass is a D+ as a player, where as Farried has B, B+ potential.

Rondo for Faried and Lawson?

It makes me sick how undervalued Rondo is around here.

While I agree, I actually think that proposal is an interesting one.  Lawson had a great year (and the whole thread is obviously about Faried), and it would also save the C's a good deal of cap space, if they wanted to make a splash this summer.

Right. Throw in a first rounder and you'd have to listen. Then you could use the draft pick on a Marquis Teague type guy.  The team would be a pretty strong team. Especially this team that lacks rebounding

I like Faried but I've seen him and Rondo play together and I will tell you that they would be better together because they play well together.
