Why do I keep reading about Golden State wanting to move Monta Ellis? Are they that confident in Klay Thompson?

Anyways, I'm not sure exactly what Golden State is looking to get for Ellis, but I'd certainly give them a call if I was Danny Ainge.

Monta is one heck of a scorer, and underrated IMO. He's had some very efficient scoring seasons, and I feel like in the right situation, he could be turned into a much more consistent defender.

I doubt we'd have enough to offer Golden state, but I'd definitely give them a call.

Would anyone do Pierce for Ellis and maybe Dorell Wright?

It's a tough one to consider.

I would absolutely do that.. But I doubt Golden State would. Again, it all depends on what exactly Golden State is looking for. Cap Space? young talent? picks?

I doubt we have what they want, but they seem to want to move him, we should at least entertain it.

It definitely seems like Rush has taken some of Wright's minutes. Ellis could possibly be a super sixth man for us. It's a trade I would entertain since it wouldn't effect our cap space next year and make the team a little younger.

Issue is I can't see Pierce being moved to any team besides one that can win. Might have to be a three team deal and at that point it's unrealistic.

Other than loyalty, Danny has to pull the trigger on a Pierce for Dorrell and Monta.

  • Rondo = Good
I think it has less to do with the Warriors' opinion of Klay Thompson and more to do with Ellis' contract and his apparent lack of on-court chemistry with Curry.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Not sure if this is accurate, but trade machine says Monta for Pierce straight up works. Maybe we throw in a first? We would clear up a little cap space switching Pierce for Monta and he can score.

I think the celtics would do that. I think that Monta would look good running with Rondo.

I don't see why gsw would do that, but I can see a team like Minnesota or Utah giving up young talent to get Pierce.

I think you guys are way undervaluing Monta and overvaluing pierce.

Only way I see Monta being traded is for Pierce and both firsts...Which I would still do in a heartbeat.

Next year can be...

(PG) Rajon Rondo
(G) Monta Ellis
(SF) Jeff Green
(PF) Josh Smith (I <3 Josh and think the Celtics will sign him)
(C) DWIGHT HOWARD! (If we assemble those other 4 players and DH is still a FA, how can he say no to that?)

Why don't you believe so? Looking at a Basketball and ownership standpoint and putting all loyalty aside.

I believe Monta Ellis is very underrated. I think he's been lumped in with the JR Smiths/OJ Mayos of the world.. But I think he's much better.

A backcourt of Rondo and Ellis is exciting to me.

I'd be making that call, ray allen would be the lead trade bait and move ellis right into starting lineup
