Im not blaming Rondo it's not a coincidence whenever Rondo scores a bunch of points the rest of the big 3 dont play good he doesnt co-exist well with the other guys they work better when he's a distributor I'm NEVER comfortable wit a point guard takin 30 shots

This was exactly the Pistons game plan, and well it worked.  Let the Rondo's J beat us, and not Pierce and Allen by doubling them.  To Rondo's credit he made the most of his opportunities tonight.  But if he's not involving our other players it's as useless as Carmelo hogging the ball (ie it fills the stat sheet but doesn't win you ball games).

He shot 55% and only had 2 TOs. He also had 6 assists and I recall a fair number of good passes he made to someone who flat out missed a jumper. Melo is shooting under 40% this year, while not passing it.

Ray Allen and Paul Peirce need to find a way to contribute if they aren't scoring.  They both used to be able to do that.  It isn't Rondo's fault that Ray is a liability on both sides of the ball if his shot isn't falling or that Peirce forces up bad shots as soon as he touches the ball.  They are smart enough players to not have to be force feed shots to get into the game.

Rondo being aggressive and scoring more should help open more good looks for Ray and Paul.  Eventually defenses will need to rotate to stop the Rondo penetration.  Once they do there will be a lot of open looks.

But Ray and Paul need to play better, that is the bottom line.  They are both all star players and can contribute in other ways.  We need to stop blaming Rondo for their poor play.

I disagree, a lot.  We WANT Rondo to be aggressive.  RA / PP need to make an impact to the game in another way when someone is on fire offensively.  To much standing around by PP / RA in the 3rd and 4th quarter.  Find a way to make an impact and make a play.  Rondo playing well doesn't stop them from playing well.  No way.

Ben Gordon underachieves all year but then goes ham tonight smh unbelievable and we're not a better team when Rondo takes nearly 30 shots Pierce nd Ray were in a horrible rhythm cuz Rondo was overly aggressive

Sorta, our offense did fail to get three point shots. That is a big problem, we can't have only 6 three point shots and only one made (by Rondo!).

Our defense was the bigger issue though, we put them on the line an awful lot and let them have an eFG% of .500.

This team plays better on offense when the ball runs through Paul Pierce's hands

  This isn't true at all.

I agree BBall but this is the game thread and there is a vocal contingent in here that is dedicated to spreading "reality" and "truths" about this team and no amount of talking to them or showing proof that they could be wrong will dismay them from their appointed task of spreading these "realities" and "truths".

You can usually tell who they are. They disappear in games the Celtics are winning throughout and show up only in games in which the Celtics appear to have a chance to lose or begin to lose later in the game. They are also usually nonexistent early in games if the Celtics have a good lead.
