have to say, KG will probably be remembered as a Twolve --> face of that franchise but I seriously think his number will be retired.

Ray, probably split between being a Buck and a Sonic

judging by the reception he got tonight from the fans I think he will be most definitely.

Allen probably wont with the way he left.

Definitely yes on KG. I am not sure what his sentiments are on this, but the fans certainly appreciate the way he changed the 'culture' in Boston.

Allen will go down as the best 3 pt shooter of all time (until Curry buries him). He is a glorified journeyman and a ring chaser. Boston fans have long long memories and most will never forgive him for going to the Heat. Hitting that last second 3pt shot to push that finals game to OT solidified his position as a HOF NBA player, but not Celtic.

I truly believe that had he missed that shot, all could be forgiven one day; however, since he won an additional championship, there is now jealousy along with hatred.

I think Ray will be remembered as a Seattle Supersonics.

And if he ever gets his third ring, then he'll be remembered as a Miami Heat. Ughhh.

Pierce will always be a Celtics.
Garnett...well, to me he will be remembered as a Celtics.

All three of them will be remembered for 2008 and 2010.

Pierce is homegrown.

KG's biggest contribution to popular NBA culture will most likely be ANYTHING IS POSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSIIIBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLEEEEEEE!
So he'll be remembered as a Celtic.

Ray'll be remembered for the 3 point record and for that three that buried San Antonio in the finals. So not really.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Until the next player comes along that fits my idea of the perfect basketball player .....I like defensive effort and all around team effort s not just a scoring machine like KObe or Melo

KG and Larry Bird will always be my favorite players.

It's not just the way Ray left.  Let's be honest, while he was an integral member of that 2008 team, Ray Allen's on-court contributions to the Celtics don't come close to Kevin's or Paul's.  That's the bottom line.

He's just not in the same category as a Celtic Legend as Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

KG himself has said his time in Boston is forever. He probably should be remembered more for the Timberwolves, but given what he accomplished in Boston (we were legit title contenders almost every year he was here), I think he might go down as a Celtic legend. Ray? No. Ray was great for us, but the way he left (not the fact that he left) is always going to be an issue. All he had to say was: Miami was a better fit for his game, and show the Celtics love. He played the disrespect card and kept tossing Boston (esp. Rondo) in the dirt on his way out. KG did say he thought Paul should have had a chance to stay a Celtic his whole career, but that was hardly harsh, and he has shown nothing but love for the organization since leaving. Ditto with Paul. Doc, too (even though some of us don't like how that all went down, you cannot say Doc has ever said anything remotely negative about Boston since he left).

KG? I will. Nationally? I'm not sure.

Ray? I don't know. Probably seen as a gun for hire (which isn't even totally accurate)  who was part of multiple championship teams. It's not sure people will associate him with one team.

EDIT: Btw, I've definitely changed my tune a bit from 2012 on this after looking back.
