The only reason to exclude Rondo is the missed games.  Ray and KG are understandable....the other guys at the same position deserve it more IMO.

Carmelo a terrible choice, but it's a vote, so not much you can do.  Johnson is questionable....

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think the real story here is the changing of the guard so to speak.  No KG.  No Duncan.  No Ray.  We're talking 10-14 years since those guys haven't all been all-stars.

I think our teams horrible start has more to do with it.
Ray Allen as an example, is having a career year in 3point % and was blisteringly hot coming out of the gates.
He cools down a bit, gets injured, but his stats are better than last year, and he doesn't make it.
Rondo comes third in fan voting for the starting 5, but can't make the bench? It's about injuries and our terrible start to the season.
Probably a blessing in disguise so we can rest that weekend.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

For those who are arguing against D-Will, can you imagine the outrage there would be around here if Rondo were averaging 20/8 and got passed over?

If the Celtics were 8-19, it would be understandable.

Funny how we went from 4 all stars to only 1 this year. Well, nothing to do about it at the end of the day we are competing for the Championship.
Congratzz Pierce.

If you can accept Paul Pierce, you have to accept D. Will.

I cannot accept anyone with an 8-17 record making the All Star Game.

Like Chuck said, putting up numbers on a losing team means what? You still suck. You just suck less than the other guys on the team.

When they were arguing about how meaningless good stats are on bad teams, Kenny Smith said he played with a guy in Sacramento that showed him how to get good stats in blow outs to get a good next contract.  Anybody have any guesses on that?

I would guess Reggie Theus.

Kenny said he wasn't going to say his name, maybe because he's still active in basketball?

Well, forget choosing all-stars, then. We should just have the Thunder play the Bulls, because the players on those teams play for the team with the best record.

Hibbert's selection is a bit of a joke; aside from that, I have no issue with the people selected.

Chuck is just turribllee...
Pierce, if healthy and in shape from the start would be a top 5 in MVP right now, and the Celtics would have had 3-5 more wins.

IMO Rondo should make it instead of D-Will...

Just pretend he's the 2nd injury replacement for Horford and Bogut and it becomes more tolerable.  Although I think Varejao should've gotten that spot.

I watched a lot of Georgetown games when Hibbert was there.  I thought he would be a terrible pro while Jeff Green looked like a real solid player.  That's why I'm not a GM.

I think that its fair enough that Hibbert got picked.. Brook Lopez is injured. If it wasnt him it would likely be Tyson Chandler. But Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.n the East team is washed up. Gon get kicked by West...

D-Will has deserved it. Rondo should have made it over Deng or Johnson.
