I've read it's not lip-syncing...
It's singing with your mic turned off.
I've seen an Andy Griffith episode with this same plot.

I thought it was a good show because, except for the first two minutes it didn't interupt the flow of conversation at the Super Bowl Party...everyone seemed to find the "ignore" button.

I thought it was pretty good actually. Never mind the lip-syncing. Otherwise, I thought it was pretty tight. I seen when Madonna nearly stumbled and saved herself but I missed the famous bird flipping. Madonna still looks decent for 53 and even if its assisted cartwheels, they looked pretty good to me.
Id say it was tons better than the absolutely painful showing the Who made. The effects-lighting was pretty amazing. The dancing was pretty solid and the sound system they used played good songs (heh).
I'd say it was better than the Black Eyed Peas. The main negative in my mind was the lip-syncing. Pop music is just a choreographed dance show these days.
At that type of event, isn't lip-syncing better?

I've never liked Madonna and her style of music, so it was pretty much utter garbage for me. Prince, to me, gave by far the best half-time performance I've seen. He tore it up on Purple Rain.

Prince was he best halftime show I've seen, and there isn't a close second.

Yeah, nothing's come close to U2 at SB36 in my mind. First Super Bowl after 9/11, "Where the Streets Have No Name" with the names of all the victims. Just an incredible show.

I agree Prince was great. I thought Madonna's was pretty lame. Beyonce was fantastic last night, though. U2 was excellent.

No it wasn't the best, I'll go with MJ in 1993, loved it! I mean, if we're talking about a SHOW, MJ put on the best show! I really like U2 but come on man... if not for the tribute, it's not memorable at all. Second was Prince, that was great! "hoo hoo hoo hoo"
