I can't imagine the Celtics going for this unless Howard sings a long extension and Ainge feels we have a good chance of getting a point guard somewhere else, and I feel that the Nets are going to cling to the "We can resign Williams and sign Howard!  We can!"  That being said, stranger trades do happen.

I can't imagine the Nets or Magic going anywhere near this deal, especially the Nets.

I would love this trade but the Nets wouldn't do this deal unless we throw a pick at them.

Fortunately I'm sure this is a joke!

Nets give up D-Will for Nelson and JO??! Not. On. Your. Life.

Only the C's and Hornets would be willing to pull the trigger on this deal. And they'd probably snap the trigger off because they're utterly robbing Orlando/NJ

Why does NJ give up Williams and Lopez for Rondo and the last year of Kamen?

Does NO really expect Williams to stay?

Orlando gives up both Howard and Anderson for Lopez?

I guess you can say they lock up an All-Star PG for the next few years in a great contract and get a decent center who can be resigned? I don't think the dropoff is that big from Lopez to Kaman (and the same can be said for DWill and Rondo).

I doubt they would, but it's somewhat plausible if picks are included.

Except one is older and a FA that just doesn't fit in a rebuilding process.

That's obvious, but they would also have the option of letting him walk and signing another max FA, or use his contract to bring in another guy.

Like I said, I doubt they would, but if they got a couple first-rounders in the deal, maybe they would like to secure the PG spot for the next few years when they can lose DWill in a few months for nothing. Then they can probably fit two max FA's with Rondo in a new city/arena, not the worst thing letting Kaman go after the year is up. Rondo and Brooks would be a fun backcourt to play with for a F/C.
