A thought about DeAndre Jordan

Something that I think will matter greatly in all of this is the simple fact that DeAndre Jordan will in short order, be playing for his next, and potentially most lucrative contract he will ever get. Just as an example: He is about a year and a half younger than Roy Hibbert who makes about 3 million more a year than he does. Now my guess is DeAndre is going to want to max out is ability in an effort to cash in when he will be just about to turn 27 when his next contract comes up. Trying to get say a 15 million to max deal.

I think this is important. As cynical as it may seem, classically players really tear it up trying to get that prime deal. I am happy to let the Celtics be the beneficiary of that time from Mr. Jordan.
