He is a restricted free agent this summer.  I think we'd have a better shot there, albeit, probably not much better.

I don't even think that would get it done. The Pistons have Stuckey/Knight and one of the lowest payrolls in the league. It's not like Gordon and Villanueva are having issues there outside of not having much value.

What about draft picks?  But would Detroit be willing to do that and would it be worth it?

Ainge would have to believe that Monroe is better than anyone he could get in the 13 to 20 range in the draft where I believe will be drafting.
