He would change the entire outlook of this team for the season.

Offensive Rebounding fix: check
Energy/Athleticism for starting unit: check
Center issue resolved: check

Cleveland is rebuilding and having him on the books for the next 4 years doesnt seem realistic to me.

I understand his contract does not fit into Danny's plans, but im sure Danny could flip him to another team for almost nothing in return if we must to sign a max salary player. He has a very fair contract.

if Anderson Varejao was the only reason we couldnt sign a max free agent, he would be amestied.

You cannot trade for someone and then amnesty them.

That said, Varejao would definitely be a boon to the Celtics' frontcourt.
