Boston-Kings-Wizards trade

Kings out: Thompson
Kings in: Turiaf,Bradley,Johnson

Wizards out: Turiaf
Wizards in: Pavlovic,2nd from Bos

Is that giving up too much for Thompson ? Maybe if we're younger,but this is our last run with this group.

I think the Wizards and Kings would be on board with this.

To much to give up for Thompson.  I would like to add him to the Celtics bench but this is a guy who's minutes have gone down the past two seasons. 


No way do the Celtics give up the last two 1st rounders for him.

Right . . . the Kings need another combo guard.


This trade makes very little sense for anybody but the C's.

I like Sacramento trading Jason Thompson for Ronny Turiaf.

Turiaf gives them a legitimate backup center to play behind D.Cousins. A defense first player who can give them some interior defense while Cousins sits and be a good veteran example to Cousins. Big fan of that idea.

However, t he deal is a non-starter because Washington gets absolutely screwed in the proposed trade.

You'd have to send Bradley + J.Johnson to Washington instead of Sacramento + that second round pick would need to be that Cavs 2nd round pick instead of the C's 2nd rounder. That may or may not make sense for Washington but at least it's a decent offer, one worth considering.

At which point you'd be giving up quite a bit for Jason Thompson who I am not wild about so it may not make enough sense for the Celtics ... but I like the Thompson for Turiaf part for Sacramento, that's great.
