Its already clogged, that's one of the reasons Amar'e is having a worse year so far. Playing C for the Knicks/Suns allowed him to be a dominant offensive force, at PF with Chandler's man in the paint its much more difficult.

I do agree with the end of this article that this is the sort of leak that the Magic might put out there to build pressure on the Nets/Mavericks/Lakers.

so they spent all that money acquiring Tyson Chandler and now theyre getting another Center? Nice, Chandler is gonna come off the bench and will not be happy

I'd be surprised if this actually happened.  If it goes down, it would have to be something that included Chandler from NY and Hedo from Orlando.

If I'm Orlando, I'd do that deal to get a good center as a replacement and a premiere PF on fairly reasonable deals.  Neither team will get to the upper echelon with that deal but it would help put the kibosh on him going to the Lakers since they wouldn't have the cap space after the season and NY wouldn't trade him there.

The Knicks are pathetic, they can't win with the combination of Amare, Carmelo, and Tyson Chandler so they figure that swapping Amare for Dwight is gonna be the cure-all.  What a sorry organization.

This would be nuts. I guess you put Howard at the 4?

No way they play him anything but the 5. Either Chandler plays the 4, comes off the bench, or gets traded. A trade like this doesn't make sense.

Howard and Melo provide a scary combo... however, where does Chandler fit in? What can Chandler get in return value? A Steve Nash? Could they get a D Williams packge?

Regardless of who they have 1-3 (even Melo) this would be a dominant defensive team.  I'm imagining them playing a 3-2 zone.

maybe they could trade him to Orlando along with Amare and get Ryan Anderson in return, who looks like a perfect fit alongside Dwight Howard (and he'd be a great fit for D'Antoni's system, too)

It would definitely make the Lakers HAVE to put both Gasol and Bynum in a trade for Howard if they were going to get him.

I guess Hedo makes more sense as a Point Forward then Melo, but then who plays Power Forward? Melo? Can't see him guarding guys like Boozer, Bosh, and KG. Hedo? That didn't work out well in Phoenix.

I can't see this going down. Certainly NY would want to see how their team does with Baron.

Amare is already starting to look like he has lost a step. I belive he still has back issues,  and we all know that they never go away and cause early retirement to good players.  He looks slow , hesitant and not so graceful (moves tenderly) .  Probally playing in pain .  Without Mellowman ...Knick ...well suck......they couldn't be the Celtics with PP tommorrow if their lifes depended on it.

Howard should stay the heck out of NY , the coach an't any good, and the whole team is lost and confused. What a mess, hats off to Mello , keeps plugging away.  Chemistry is everything, that group doesn't seem to work so great as team.
