I am down with this. What's there to lose? Unless we pay him more than 3 mil a year, I'd really like to give a shot on these kind of players. If he works out or not, it's not a big gamble.

7-5 260 lbs. That is one tall defender in the paint.

Though I wonder why he's not in the NBA yet. Then again, it is still worth a gamble.

Wasn't Steamer a D League all star?  This guy doesn't even start, right? I think Steams would eat this guy for breakfast and then some.

I wouldn't mind working him out or possibly even putting him on the summer league team, but I wouldn't expect anything out of him

Strike us twice? When did it ever hit us the first time?

Stinksma...

Not exactly "lightning"... more like accidentally shocking your finger on a door handle after rubbing your socks on the carpet.

Hilarious!!

He now plays for the Sioux Falls Sky Force. The same team Stiemsma played for. Maybe they have a good big man coach who can transform this guy into a serviceable big man

Hey, hey, hey.  the C's probably wouldn't be in the playoffs and Danny would have more aggressively peddled the Aged Three at the trade deadline if Stiemer hadn't stepped up admirably and played through two injured feet to help save the season.

If Danny were to look for a second strike of lightning from the D league, I bet he'd like to take this guy for a test drive:

Also would rather take a shot at Greg Smith

Too bad you're not affiliated with the Celtics' front office.  Great call.
