Looks like the Spurs have waived Antonio McDyess.

He plans to retire, but dont think he has made it official or anything yet, so should Danny take a flyer on him?

I think he had to walk away from around $2.5 million by retiring.  We can only offer him a minimum contract, worth a little more than half of that.  I don't see how that would entice him.

Now, if we (or another contender) offers him a contract in March, maybe he rethinks things (assuming he hasn't formally retired by then).  For now, though, I think he's retired.
