I think Danny is going to make the Wilcox signing look great. Why? Because Wilcox will get opportunities on fastbreaks and/or around the basket in the half court playing with Rondo and the Big Three.
Think about it. Why was Shaq so successful last year? He wasn't posting up like he did in his prime. Instead, he finished the easy baskets that were given to him around the basket when defenses were focusing on the Core Four. He made the easy baskets that Perk and to some extent BBD missed for years.
Wilcox can do that too. And while he may have shortcomings in others areas, simply making those baskets can be very helpful to this team.
