If this story is from what I think it is, a tweet by S. Blakely I'd take it with a grain of salt :-X

If he can play I like Pryzbilla as another big body coming off the bench.

J. O'Neal / Pryzbilla / Wilcox
KG / Bass / J. Johnson
Pierce / Greene / Pavlovic
Ray / Marquis / Moore
Rondo / Dooling / Bradley

* Withe the caveat we must apply...if that team stays healthy going into the playoffs, we have a legitimate shot at a ring.

A lot of tough, savvy vet guys, mixed in with Dooling, Marquis, Greene and Bass.

I like that mix

Everybody hates KG when they play against him...that hate turns into admiration very quickly once they play beside him.

I'd rather have Dalembert.  Saw some tweets today that say the Rockets want him.  Wish we'd at least throw some interest in his direction.  I'm led to believe that Pryz is done...

Dalembert would have to be a sign and trade, to a long term deal of some sort.

I heard he had knee surgery and was retiring. Could we please try to get somebody who might improve over the next few years rather than be another broken down retread?

Yeah. Why can't we get an all-star caliber center for the veterans minimum?! I can't believe that DA can't attract someone like a Dwight Howard with the cap space we have to come in and be a 3rd string center. You should be ashamed of yourself Danny... Great centers are a dime a dozen...

And since JO would have to be the piece sent out to bring Dalembert to Boston, it wouldn't really solve the lack of bigs.  You'd be swapping JO's injury risk for a guy who's theoretically healthier, but also much less savy and with a history of being a underperformer.

My guess is the Celtics are talking to almost all of the vet min level type centers available, like:

Joel Pryzbilla
Etan Thomas
Theo Ratliff
Erick Dampier
Dan Gadzuric
Jason Smith
Kyrylo Fesenko
Francisco Elson
etc.

too bad he wont make a decision till after the holidays guessing in january

Agreed.  But that may leave the Celts with more options now.  Sign Stiemsma or Gilbert Brown or a tall vet, then, come a month or two from now, if Pryz is healthy, cut someone and bring him in.

The key to the Cs is May/June, not Dec/Jan.

I like what this guy brings to the table, but i really dont see this guy making it through a full season without getting injured.
