I heard he had knee surgery and was retiring. Could we please try to get somebody who might improve over the next few years rather than be another broken down retread?

Fantastic news if we get him.  If healthy (big if, but still), he's an excellent player.  We could bully teams on the inside again.

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye

danny likes the roster as is so a vet like pryzz whos a legit 7feet is low risk high reward vet min he would probably be 3rd string. and a nice role player for if JO goes down or wilcox hes a perfect fit

Nope. Sorry.  Only broken down retreads for us.  It's depressing.

Yeah he's decent for a backup.

We need size and someone who isnt a complete stiff. Pryzbilla is exactly what we need in terms of Defense + Rebounding

I would be happy with this move

This is not a bad flyer as a bench player.

YES!!!  Excellent pick-up, if they sign him for the money they have available.

I've wanted Pryz for a few years.  Tough, tenacious, and even a little mean, he's a terrific rebounder and simply a huge body to throw out there.

Injury-risk?  Yeah, but we all discussed this on the site already (few weeks back on a Leon Powe thread).  With a veteran team like the Celts, who are over the cap and have limited funds available, there are three player options: scrubs, ring chasers, and injury-risks.

Scrubs aren't worth it.  Ring chasers would rather go to Miami or Chicago.  We're left with injury-risks.

If Pryz is brought on as the 15th guy and he stays healthy, this would be an ABSOLUTE STEAL.  If he gets injured, the team is no worse off.  They can always cut him and go brag Stiemsma again.

Take it, yes. Like it...meh.

Would've liked it a lot more in 2007.

Got any suggestions considering the present cap situation?

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Since I think we need a big badly I'm going to believe it when I read the same offseason article I read every year about every injury riddled player.

Quote
I can play. I feel great. This is the best my body has felt in a long, long time,’’ Przybilla said. “But I honestly don’t know if I will play. We’ll see. We’ll see what my options are.’’
“Honestly, this is the most happy I’ve been in a long time. I just had my first Halloween with my kids,’’ Przybilla said. “But there’s a side of me that doesn’t want to look back and regret that I didn’t play for one or two more years. Because I wake up now and my back doesn’t hurt, my knees don’t hurt, and I haven’t had that in a long time.’’
