Knicks are now showing heavy interest as well...
That would be a great home for Travis Outlaw. He'd fit right in under Mike D'Antoni in those quick lineups with Outlaw at the four.

Meh NY needs scoring. How many minutes will he really get with hat front line also?

32-34 minutes for Tyson Chandler at center
14-16 minutes for Amare Stoudemire at center
20-22 minutes for Amare Stoudemire at power forward

That would leave 24+ minutes for Travis Outlaw at power forward playing alongside either Tyson Chandler (C) or Amare Stoudemire (C). Plus, Outlaw could play another few minutes at small forward backing up Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks would have no problem finding 28mpg for Outlaw as a sixth man on that team. He is absolutely perfect for Amare/Tyson in that Mike D'Antoni offense (one in four out, play small to gain speed advantage and create matchup issues).

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
erm... I don't think we can bid on him because we are already paying luxury tax.
Plenty of teams ahead of us with plenty more money and space.

Get the idea out of your heads guys- will not happen.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

At the current contract, he'll most likely slip through waivers unclaimed.  THEN there will be a bidding process on him, and the Knicks are strongly rumored to want him (along with the possibility of Baron Davis, a bit later down the road depending on how his back checks out).

The Nets won over the Knicks on bidding for FA Shawne Williams.  I sense there is some bad blood based on all the twitter chatter & stories I've read the last couple days.  If NY grabbed Outlaw it would then create a bit of angst between the Knicks and Nets.  Fun soap opera to follow...

The Celtics have a bigger need for depth at the big man spots, even with Green out for the season.
Celtics fan for life.

Three pages and no one presents the option that the "Kevin Garnett influence" could change him into an all star?!

Ya'all are rusty.
