Yeah, I expect someone will claim Outlaw off the amnesty waivers.

Never make it to free agency. And even if he did, he'd want more money than the C's can offer.

Sacramento, perhaps?

Lets freaking get this guy.....this is a player who I want off our bench, especially with Green likely coming slow out the gate. Pierce can slide to the 2 at points of the game if we want to play big, and Outlaw can guard some PF's in the league. Streaky scorer, but at least he CAN score!

Not that we need another SF/PF, but if for some reason Jeff Greene can't play should we make a bid for Travis Outlaw since he's been amnestied?

I'm actually not real clear on the amnesty rules - perhaps we're barred from bidding based on our cap situation - but I know Ainge has had interest in Outlaw in the past.

Only teams that have cap room can make a bid on a player during waivers. If he passes through waivers, we could sign him to the vet min to take Green's spot if he can't play.

Although Outlaw was bad last year, I think you have to look at his career in total to get a more accurate picture. There is a reason he got signed to such a big contract.
DKC:  Rockets

Sounds like OKC might be interested

I'm sorry but I totally disagree. If Jeff Green is not able to go, Celtics should pursue Leon Powe. The man still got it. I know because last game against the Memphis Grizzlies in
Boston. Leon Powe was killing us on the scoreboard on the lost to the Grizzlies in that game.

We already have 3 PFs on the roster, we don't need another.

Did he clear waivers because I don't think NY could be able to do anything until he does?

Not yet. I wonder if anyone will pick up Arenas. Haven't heard any rumors about where he could end up at all.

Arenas was one of the worst guards in the NBA offensively last year, probably the worst one with such a prominent role.

He was also one of the worst defensive guards, I doubt he catches on anywhere with a guarenteed contract.

It be pretty amazing if he was out of the league.

I can't how many Travis Outlaw trades i proposed last few years. This guy was a stud in Portland. A disappointing year for sure, but he can bounce back. Off course you attempt to sign him given Jeff Green health concerns.
