This year goal 1,2 and 3 is obviously making another championship push with rondo and the big 3. I believe goal 4 should be the building up of trade able assets. In much the same way doc traded gnomes,al,gerald, and delonte to build the current big 3 we need to get some of the young bench guys(avery ,moore, and JJ) minutes so they become attractive for teams as trade pieces. If we can hit on even 1 of those 3 and add our 2 first round picks this year (betting both will be early 20s) we will actually have some nice young pieces in the next off season.

Current projections with two picks in 20s could land us a combination of Henson, Zellers x2, Hardawy jr, or number of other late lottery talents who will fall in a deep draft.

I believe the pick is top ten protected for years to come so the clippers improving isn't a depressing thing to me. I would rather have them firmly in the 18-21 range then risk them falling into the top ten and we miss out on an addition pick in a great draft.

I think the last time Danny had two picks in that range he took Tony Allen and Delonte West.

Rondo.

Good place for guards and undersized bigs, imo.  Not bad.

i think this year will be different, with so many guys staying in last year some top 15 talent will be around in the 20s

Doc Rivers and Tim Hardaway sons in the same draft. Funny. I saw Hardaway Jr. in the World Champs. Bit of a chucker.

Probably right too. Late teens, early twenties. Too bad.

And remember, this is the Clippers: their potential to disappoint raised expectations is immense.

They remind me of our 2004/2005 Celtics team, with a super-productive young star (Griffin/Pierce), a veteran star PG rental (Billups/Payton), a gunner sixth man (Mo Williams/Ricky Davis), a potentially counter-productive ex-All-Star (Caron Butler/Antoine Walker), a useful injury-riddled big (Kaman/LaFrentz), and a lot of young talent not quite ready for primetime (Bledsoe, Aminu, Jordan/Big Al, Tony Allen, Delonte).  Of course the Clippers have something that Celtics team didn't have, Eric Gordon, a borderline star to add to the mix.

I expect some disorganized, messy success from that team.  50 wins.

2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Head Coach: Fred Hoiberg

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye

Cheer up - it's still the Clippers, they'll find some way to screw it up.

I wouldn't mind seeing Henson or Buford in green.  Joseph, T Zeller, Plumlee are guys I've watched their whole careers, and I don't think any of them will excel in the NBA.  Not too familiar with the rest of the names being tossed around.

If the clippers do land paul then we should consider moving that pick this year

50 wins out of 66 games is a top 3 seed in my opinion. Not to mention they likely get CP3.

I imagine he forgot to take into account that the season is only 66 games, not 82. In that case, they should win about 40 games, which seems reasonable, but I think mid to upper 30s is probably more realistic.

Yes, thank you!  Hard to adjust to this 66 game schedule.

I'm not sure how you assume that Clipper pick is in the 20's now.  Nobody knows that.  For me, it could go either way.

For the Eastern Conference sake, they better hope Ainge doesn't get a 11-15 pick in a deep draft.

I was under the impression that the age to enter the draft was raised from 19 to 20? That would seriously diminish the depth in the draft this year. Just saying.
