REPORT: Chris Paul Wants To Be a Clipper and Will Reportedly Opt In to 2013 Season: sbn.to/sHHDRi

sounds to me like Chris Paul is gonna be a Clipper.

It's from Bucher, who is not so trustworthy in my eyes, but that's a lot easier to live with. The Clippers have a legitimate package to offer the Hornets, unlike Houston and LAL.

Yup.  Bucher is about as reliable as Crotor.

If Chris Paul agrees to opt in to next season, with those knees, and the Clippers history, he can all but guarantee he will blow out his knee next season, and lose out on 10s of millions of dollars.

well at least it's not the blazers, if it was chances are his arms or legs would just spontaneously fall off somehow

Good point.  Actually, maybe he will be fine in LA.  The difference between the Clippers and the Blazers is that the Blazers take risks on guys with known injury histories, and they don't pay off.  The Clippers on the other hand end up taking guys who haven't had injuries, and their careers spiral from the point they put on their uniform.

With Paul and Griffin in uniform together, its only a matter of time before The Clippers seasons' winning percentages have an opposite correlation with the Lakers.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

That last twitter update is from Hornets' blogger. Maybe a case of thinking out loud or something....no other reports or tweets which can confirm that he will opt in.

And I doubt the Clips will give in and include Gordon without an assurance that Paul will sign up with them after the season or will opt in.

Eric Gordon isn't in the deal. It's just the Minnesota draft pick.

No, he is not. I assume its because Clippers aren't sure they'll be able to resign CP3 after the season...taking a gamble. Still, Kaman + Bledsoe + Aminu + Minny's first is a good offer.

wow, clippers are stacked.  paul + gordon + griffin + jordan is a good group moving forward.  though they won't have any picks in the upcoming draft unless for some reason they're a bottom 10 team (unlikely).

paul + gordon is already one of the best backcourts in the league, and likely will be the best within a few years.

still, i guess this means that the t-wolves pick is considered more valuable than rondo, since that seems to be the centerpiece of the deal.

Championship caliber core

Just need to get them a few quality role players to fill out the rotation / roster.
