This thread has made me realize if I were a GM I'd float out trade ideas, then maybe leak them, then run to a site like this one to see what the other side was thinking and if 75% of them were of the same mind that might tell me something. I might even make absurd polls to track stuff

Excellent. I'd be very happy with that.

Pointless move by Orlando. Accomplishing nothing. Just doing something for the sake of doing something. Make it appear like they're making a legitimate effort to improve the squad for Dwight Howard.
Me too.

He's a bit better at everything over Davis.
Thanks for that, comparison it makes me happy.
I'm pumped to have a pf who can actually dunk.
That's 2010-2011 only. Bass' previous seasons were quite underwhelming.

but if you look at their career stats they're almost identical:

If they're identical, then I can have the player I dislike less

Finally some good news for a change. I don't know what the Magic are thinking here but ok.

The only, and I mean only thing I would worry about is matching up with big post players that BBD used to lean on and defend one on one effectively. Bass is a strong guy but he's not in Baby's weight class.

That is the real drawback.

I am still a fan of the trade.

We still got JO for that role, and I assume more bigs are going to be signed.

In more general terms, the problem of the NBA is that a lot of fans would rather have a player that can dunk, rather than players who can play.

Not saying it pertains to this case, or this particular fan... but just saying.
Did I just get burned?

Not being able to dunk indicates that Baby was fat (his lift was better to start the season when he was in better shape), better lift usually means better athletecism which helps in most phases in the game.

In the end they are very similar, not sure if Bass is as good at rotating and taking charges as Bass but I haven't seen Bass play a ton.

Exactly...what the main difference is LENGTH. Something that BBD doesnt have. BBD can hold a man defensively on the blocks, however someone like BB is less defensively on the blocks but can block shots with his length. Also, this works with BBBecause (yes no space) because if Rondo is driving it gives him a more viable option for alley oops and creative higher passes. This hopefully makes J Green better too as he can hopefully attempt more and make more open jumpers....

COUNT ME IN!

Hence why we still need to sign another C.

I'd be shocked if we didn't bring in another big body.  Aaron Gray, Dampier, Fesenko... some one of that nature.

2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Head Coach: Fred Hoiberg

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye
Deep Bench: CJ Watson, H. Thompson, P. Zipser, Papagiannis, Mejri

i'm excitd for this. i'm honestly tired of having to root for BBD despite his selfishness and inflated ego.
