I would LOVE to see Brandon Bass instead of BBD

BBD HAS PEAKED ,LoL  ::)when ever that was... so yea ...I 'm not sadden by his departure. Can't shoot very good from outside , and gets the heck hammered out of him by taller guys , cause he can't jump.  Just a wide body with poor skill set.

Adding Bass brings more athleticism and better shooting percentages, and adding Wilcox adds more bulk and rebounding up front -- and these things are exactly what this team needs. Good work, DA.
Chris Wilcox will never be confused for bulky. Or for a rebounder, for that matter.

Excellent. I'd be very happy with that.

Pointless move by Orlando. Accomplishing nothing. Just doing something for the sake of doing something. Make it appear like they're making a legitimate effort to improve the squad for Dwight Howard.
Me too.

He's a bit better at everything over Davis.
Thanks for that, comparison it makes me happy.
I'm pumped to have a pf who can actually dunk.
That's 2010-2011 only. Bass' previous seasons were quite underwhelming.

but if you look at their career stats they're almost identical:

Rondo trade chatter aside, i'm loving what Ainge is doing thus far this offseason.

Bass and Dooling are both guys i've wanted the C's to add in the past and both are SOLID bench guys (spot starters even on those back-to-back-to-backs).

Bass is a Powe-type... all-out energy and grit. He's started the year as the 10th man on 3 different teams (NOH, DAL, ORL) and literally muscled his way into the rotation on each team... I WILL LOVE WATCHING HIM IN GREEN & WHITE!

The Magic must be remembering a certain game winning shot to make this deal...
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Yeah, more chances for Baby to knock down that kid now.

Bass able to play spot minutes at Center? If not, then I'm less of a fan.

Love this move if made - Bass is like Baby's good twin.  I think they even played together for a year at LSU.

With the compressed schedule, I think getting a young serviceable backup for KG to keep him fresh is just as vital as a backup C in my opinion.

Jajuan and Baby aren't young capable back-ups? Baby's ability to play 8 minutes a game at the 5 make him slightly more valuable to the Cs if Bass can't.

That's their entire career numbers, Bass is still a solid upgrade over Glen Davis. He's a more efficient scorer and a slightly better rebounder, pretty much the same elsewhere.

He's also a better shooter from 16-23 feet, the shot that Davis couldn't make last year. The %s were similar (33/43) two years ago as well.

Davis hit 35% on those shots (taking 4 per game)
Bass hit 47% on those shots (taking 3 per game)

No he's a PF, Garnett will have to play more minutes at C with Bass.

I'm fine with that.
