Just read on Hoopshype that Turiaf will be traded to make room for Chandler. Any way the Celtics can pick him up. I like the idea of a tough rebounder like him on the team.

Nope - NYC are looking to trade Turiaf to a team below the cap so that they don't have to take back any salaries. Thereby allowing them to sign Tyson Chandler to a big contract.

Boston cannot make an offer along those lines.

That sucks, I'm not sure of the rules, was hoping we could use trade exceptions.

They could also send him to a team with a large enough Trade Exemption.
I could see him going back to LA, for example, where he started his pro career.

Not sure what that has to do with Turiaf, but I am sure we don't have anywhere near the over 12000000 he is owed.

I don't really care if they pay him more.  He's already going there and the contract could be bad in a few years (I like him but you never know).

I wish we could get Turiaf.  I've been a fan of his since Gonzaga and he became surprisingly explosive in the NBA.  Good high energy backup big.
