A sign of bigger things to come?

I called this earlier. Dooling fits into the TE from last season's Marquis Daniels trade to Sacto.

I think it's a no-brainer. The team needs a vet backup PG.

Does this mean the end of Delonte in Boston?  I'm sad if it does.

39.7% from the field last year.  7 points, 3 assists.  Owed $2.25 million this year.

Where's the incentive for the Celts?  Hopefully, he's third-string, or getting flipped as salary filler.

He can still play the 2, no?

Dooling should be the emergency/3rd PG on the roster. I don't think it means Delonte is necessarily done.

Good call.  He would be a nice pickup.  Similar to West I think, but a little less explosive, and a little more reliable.

Gritty defender. Can handle the ball well and knock down the open 3. Good Vet to have.

Ah crap, Keyon Dooling is far too erratic to play PG on a title contender.

You don't give him the keys and ask him to run your team. Not a primary backup guard. He is a third string PG who you keep around for his defense.

What worries me is that Dooling only played 8 games total last season for the Bucks, didn't play in the NBA in '09-10, and played only 3 games for NJ in '09. Is there something wrong with him?

Good call.  Personally I was hoping for Terrence Williams for the TE and a pick.

If true, this does not bode well for our prospects with Delonte.  Bummer.  I'd much prefer Delonte over Dooling.

Actually he played 80 games last year.  Healthy, just not very good.

Where's the incentive for the Celts?

If you can get him for a trade exception, it's a back up PG whose contract expires after this season.  Pretty much any other decent player at that spot will demand more than a one year deal and Ainge's gotta save that cap space for next year.

Ha, I just realized I was looking at his preseason averages... stupid me. Thanks for the correction, now it makes sense.

I certainly hope it doesn't mean the end of Delonte, having both would be very nice.
