The trade veto is a bit disturbing. It shows that players on a league owned team are in limbo because there is no owner that really cares about them.

The trade veto makes perfect sense. The other 29 owners own the Hornets. They didn't want this trade to go through. It's no different than if Wyc nixed an Ainge trade. The Hornets need to be sold before they can engage in a stupid trade like this. But there's no way the other owners are going to let it happen while they own the team.
