lakers will get paul without giving up gasol and bynum
This sort of thing won't happen, now they could get him but they'll have to give up one of their two Cs.

I guess when people said the NBA owns the Hornets, well here is the proof.

what?  That they are listening to other offers other than the one from the C's?

Right now, everything is in a stall.  Nothing can happen for 23 hours, so there are going to be another 10 rumors over that time.  No need to react too strongly either way.

This time tomorrow, we will hopefully have a better idea where everything stands.

Indeed, for all we know the Hornets could have locked in on the C's offer and are just trying to pry one more draft pick out of them. Or build up pressure for when they do the last push.

Or they could have locked in on the Warriors, or Clippers....

Its in New Orleans interest to leak/take in as many scenarios as possible right up to Friday.

The Lakers can TRY and trade for Paul without giving up Bynum but it ain't happening.  There is no way NOH is giving Paul up for whatever Houston can offer and there's no way Houston is going to gut their team just to get Gasol.  At minimum, the Rockets would have to give up Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and a pick.  If they do that, what's the point of bringing in Gasol to be the biggest star on a mediocre team?  At the very least, to even make that kind of trade possible, Odom would also have to wind up in either Houston or NOH and while Paul, Mr. Glass and a rapidly aging Kobe would be very good, that ain't some super team.  And parting with Odom would ensure LA won't get Howard 'cause Orlando ain't trading him straight up for Bynum or a Bynum/Artest package.

b) other teams don't seem to value rondo as highly as we do

Does this also mean that other teams don't value CP3 like people here do? I keep hearing about a top 5 franchise player who can carry a team on his back through the playoffs yet teams are refusing to consider trading players like Curry or Gordon for him.

Names talked about in CP3 3-way are: CP to Lakers, Gasol to HOU & Kevin Martin & Luis Scola and possible picks to Hornets, source tells Y!

but the NBA controls the hornets and the NBA needs a western conf. team that matches up with the Heat...they will do a deal with the lakers so this will happen

Does NBA front office call personnel shots for New Orleans? Talk about conflict of interest if this is true.

1.  There's no way Orlando gives up Howard for just Bynum or a Bynum/Artest package.  No way.

2.  NOH is not trading Paul for Gasol and no third team is going to gut themselves, which is what it will take to get Paul out of NOH, just to bring in Gasol.

here we go..the lakers are going to get him for nothing..no bynum, no gasol, no kobe , no odom...bunch a BS

yet boston can't even find enough cash to sign some bench players that are worth anything
Season hasn't started yet and cio is already in mid season form. LOL.

Come on cio, you know there is zero chance of the Lakers landing CP3 without giving up Gasol or Bynum.

Supposedly Dell Demps has been given an overall budget but otherwise has operational freedom to manage the team.

Why would Houston give up two starters to bring in Gasol?
