This is why the league stinks because everything is rigged toward the Los Angeles Lakers and against the Boston Celtics. The only drama will be who wins the NBA championship between the Los Angelos Lakers and the Miami Heat until the next CBA comes and the 28 owners of the other teams gang up on the two owners and lock the league out until these teams are forced to break up under a hard cap.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

My only question is why would the Hornets not like the offers Houston made...but they like the offers for what Houston would give up for Pau?

Wake me when its Friday.  There is a lot of posturing going on here, mainly because they aren't allowed to agree on anything yet.

So what it would be CP3 to Lakers, Gasol to Houston, and what does NOH get?

Doesn't make sense to me. Houston doesn't have much beyond Martin, Scola, and Lowry. Wouldn't make sense for them to trade all those players for Gasol.

houston can send picks, lowry, kevin martin . . . patterson, motiejunas, and marcus morris are decent chips too.

The signing period hasn't even opened yet.  Lets give him at least a little time on that.

  • Thank you Eddie!
If the Lakers can get Paul without giving up the ability to get Howard, then I hope Paul's knees blow out on opening night.  Nothing against Paul, but the Lakers need to bottom out for a few years... as if the NBA would let that happen.  And will someone explain to me why a center with bad knees who's been in the league for 6 years is still considered "young talent"?  ::)

Houston's a great partner for 3-team deals.  Loaded to the gills with surplus young talent on rookie deals, a fringe playoff team with that Lowry/Martin/Scola nucleus.  The kind of team that would want Pau to push them into the thick of the playoff hunt.

I still think the C's offer is better than anything the Rockets have to offer.  Houston's roster is the ultimate example of quantity over quality: loaded with quality 6th/7th men, nothing resembling star potential in the lot.
2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Head Coach: Fred Hoiberg

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye
Deep Bench: CJ Watson, H. Thompson, P. Zipser, Papagiannis, Mejri

I guess when people said the NBA owns the Hornets, well here is the proof.

Sheesh...nothing has happened yet.

If the Lakers end up with both players for the deals you are talking about Ill be shocked.

Moreover, the signing period hasnt even started yet.

Danny can start building his bench tomorrow at 2.

He cant do anything now and pursuing a deal for Paul isnt stopping him from thinking about singning a bench either.

Breathe...relax...2let's panic 3 weeks from now if we see the team you are describing at MSG against the Knicks...
