C: Tyson Chandler
PF: David Lee
SF: Dorell Wright
SG: Monta Ellis
PG: Chris Paul

Bench:  Charlie Bell, Louis Amundson, nobody decent to speak of

Is that team good enough to make it out of the West?  I'm not a huge believer, but hey, I'm convinceable.

How would they have enough money to sign Chandler?  Wouldn't they be around $9 mil under the cap assuming they only brought Paul back in the trade?

Title Contender.

Tyson Chandler and Chris Paul are a terrific combination and do most of the heavy lifting for the team.

I think they'd be best off trying to trade Lee and Ellis for more complementary fits ... for something that takes them from "one of the contenders" to "team to beat".

Or in the short term, move D.Wright or M.Ellis to the bench in favour of a defensive wing with physical toughness. Preferably someone with a decent (or better) jump-shot.
Ellis would be absolutely electric as a 1/2 combo guard off the bench.  Electric.

he would also be absolutely unhappy off the bench.  unhappy.
Yeah they'd have to trade Ellis for it to work out well in my opinion.

I doubt they would though, they'd try to make it work with him at SG.
