thank god for mark sanchez

Pats D has played about as well as they can.  They covered well at times, allowed a few big plays, but got to Sanchez -- we seem to actually have a pass rush.  Given the talent and injuries, can't ask more from the D.   It's not just bad Mark.

all credit to ninkovich and carter for having big games.  i can't help thinking the jets had a flawed game plan in this one, though.  why keep trying to run so much when the pats secondary is so weak?

says a lot about sanchez and the jets o-line that the Jets gave up so many sacks and weren't able to score more through the air.

luckily, the next time the pats face an elite quarterback would be in the post-season (assuming they make it) -- unless you want to consider Mike Vick as an elite QB.

Really liked the hurry up tonight. Their drive to go up 14 and the end of the first half were good, solid drives.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but the AFC sure seems to be the weaker conference this year.  Each week each seems there's a new "best" team in the conference.  NFC is much better at the top this year.  GB, SF, NYG, would most likely beat any team coming out of the AFC.

Congrats on the win though, didn't think they'd pull it off.

I agree.  The only complete team in the AFC looks to be the Texans, and they're relatively untested with their easy-as-pie schedule and a division devoid of true challengers.

In the NFC, the 49ers and Packers are clearly a cut above the rest, but I see the Bears, Giants, and Cowboys as teams to watch throughout the rest of the season.  Any of those teams could get hot, and all have the pieces to put together a streak of balanced, tough-to-beat football.

I'd love to see a Niners / Texans Super Bowl.
