Seemed like a real nice guy, down-to-earth, and not involved with all the nonsense so many others in his profession are involved in.  RIP dude.

"Now That We Found Love" and "Gyrlz, They Love Me" seem to get played more, but this one was always my favorite:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Truly a sad day. Heavy D was one of my all time favorites. He was smooth as silk and made you want to dance. Even non rap fans couldn’t help but love him. RIP big boy!

Sad.

RIP, Heavy.

He and a very young Kris Kross had a small part in this video (around the 3:28 mark), but I loved his part in it regardless:

I'm glad he got to perform at the BET Awards one last time.

I was just thinking, didn't he perform at the Hip-Hop awards (I guess it was the BET awards, they run together if you ask me)... it seems like just yesterday!! I was like, get 'em big boy, he still has it! I didn't know he was so young (I guess rap can make the young seem old). Heavy D had some hits, I still listen to some now! R.I.P.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)
