ROLAND DESCHAIN!
Slaughter House Five is the best novel on that list, but it may not be as good a Sci-Fi story if that makes sense.
When Lee walked in, he looked crazed. He was no longer a cocky hip hop star. His hair was a bushy mess. Fidgeting with an unlit cigarette, his eyes darted nervously around the room. People in the lobby were looking at him. I asked how he was feeling."They're saying I'm not me, and I can't convince them I am," he mumbled. "It's like I'm living in a Kafka novel."
http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/04/ff_koreanrapper/all/1Absolutely fascinating story about the Internet-driven persecution of a successful Korean rapper. A bit long, but a striking example of the intersection of Internet anonymity, Korean culture, populism, and the persistence of conspiracy beliefs. Some very strong parallels to the Obama birth certificate thing we see over here, too. Well worth a read when you've got a few minutes.EDIT: Great quote - QuoteWhen Lee walked in, he looked crazed.
