Super 8 gets my vote, especially if he continues to help the team.
"continues" to help the team? I'd like him to "start" to help the team.
As for nicknames, Mr. SofTee is the first thing that comes to mind.
Good Ole vinnie - always looking at the bright side of things.
For a player that was traded from one team to another for such a popular player (Perk)...
For a player who was coming into Boston with 2 strikes against him no matter what...
For a player who was not used according to his strengths in OKC (he's a natural SF, but was made to play PF in OKC)...
Jeffrey Lynn Green seems to have made
some strides here in GreenTown, to me.
He went from having a defensive rating of roughly 109 during his OKC days all the way down to 102 during his 26 games in Boston.
He made all of these adjustments and did not complain or whine, either.
Didn't complain in OKC, either.
I look forward to a full training camp with Jeff Green and what a year's difference will make for him in Boston.
And all of a sudden - a 2nd string lineup of Rondo, Jeff and Jajuan Johnson is looking awfully fast and athletic, to me.
And God forbid Paul gets injured or has to sit a few games next year? I have no issues with Jeff Green taking his spot while he recovers.
And then once Paul comes back? We all know that Jeff Green won't complain about going back to the bench, either.
That humbleness will pay off for Boston in the long run, to me.
