Word is out the Celtics are looking to trade the 25th pick and their $2.38 million trade exception for a young player.
These are the possibilities of young players the C's might be looking at. Now remember, these are just players that fit into the trade exception and are young and not necessarily players that are available:

Jeff Teague - $1.5 million
Gerald Henderson - $2.2 million
DJ White - $1.1 million
Omar Asik - $1.7 million
Taj Gibson - $1.1 million
JJ Hickson - $1.1 million
Christian Eyenga - $1.1 million
Rodrique Beaubois - $1.1 million
Dominique Jones - $1.1 million
Ty Lawson - $1.5 million
Kostas Koufos - $1.2 million
Austin Daye - $1.8 million
Terrance Williams - $2.2 million
Goran Drajic - $1.9 million
Patrick Patterson - $1.8 million
Courtney Lee - $1.3 million
Paul George - $2.2 million
Brandon Rush - $2 million
Tyler Hansborough - $2 million
Roy Hibbert - $1.7 million
Darren Collison - $1.4 million
Eric Bledsoe - $1.5 million
Xavier Henry - $2.2 million
Darrell Arthur - $1.1 million
Gervais Vasquez - $1 million
Ersan Ilyasova - $2.3 million
Larry Sanders - $1.7 million
Keyon Dooling - $2.1 million
Jon Brockman - $1 million
Anthony Tolliver - $2 million
Lazar Hayward - $1 million
Wayne Ellington - $1.1 million
Damion James - $1.1 million
Quincy Pondexter - $1.1 million
Toney Douglas - $1.1 million
Cole Aldrich - $2.1 million
Eric Maynor - $1.4 million
Serge Ibaka -$1.2 million
BJ Mullens -$1.2 million
Ryan Anderson - $1.4 million
Marreese Speights - $1.7 million
Jrue Holiday - $1.6 million
Craig Brackins - $1.3 million
Robin Lopez - $1.8 million
Luke Babbit - $1.6 million
Elliot Williams - $1.2 million
Rudy Fernandez - $1.2 million
Omri Casspi - $1.2 million
Donte Greene - $1 million
James Anderson -$1.3 million
DeJuan Blair - $1 million
George Hill - $900,000
Jerryd Bayless - $2.2 million
Ed Davis - $1.9 million
Solomon Alabi - $770,000
Gordon Hayward - $2.3 million
JaVale McGee - $1.6 million
Kevin Seraphin - $1.2 million
Trevor Booker - $1.2 million
Jordan Crawford - $1 million

Couple of assumptions.

1. With Bradley here and possibly Delonte returning, I doubt they do this type of trade for a PG so I am going to rule them out and highlight them in red

2. There are certain players that I just don't see their team doing this trade for the 25th pick this year due to the quality of the player involved so I am going to rule them out and highlight them in blue.

That leaves everyone else that might be the target Danny is looking at tonight to trade for either before or during the night's proceedings.

Would a cheap Phoenix team do this trade for Robin Lopez if the C's also throw in $3 million?

Could Philly do it to dump Speights if the think a better project is still on the board?

Could Austin Daye be available from Detroit?

Could Minnesota move Anthony Tolliver to make room for derrick Williams?

Daye should be in blue. I don't see how Detroit lets him go for the #25.

And a TP for the list.

mark me down for Josh McRoberts.  Dude is so versatile! good, smart help defender, can stretch the floor, has some athleticism, will get out and run, a solid replacement for Baby if they aren't planning on bringing him back.

Thompson would be a nice asset to obtain as well.  Weren't the Kings REALLY high on him a few years ago? i guess that love affair fell apart pretty fast.

I thought about that but Detroit is in serious need of big men and with Jonas Jerebko in tow I thought there might be an outside shot at moving him, though you are probably right.

McRoberts is a free agent and could not be obtained this way tonight.

Just to clarify, even though this season is over, if we get a player tonight, his 2010-2011 salary has to fit under the exception, and not 2011-2012?  That's a nice deal, as all the salaries will increase for the 2011-2012 season, giving us effectively more buying power tonight.

Yes, tonight is actually our last chance to acquire players under the current CBA Rules - things could be changing dramatically by the time free agency starts

TP for the list, great job. I'm hoping it's Jason Thompson, and I think he really fits the rumor (the Kings are reportedly trading their #7 to Milwaukee so they might want to get a late pick - ours - and get rid of Thompson in the process).

I also like Thompson a lot.  Very athletic and great size.  If the Cs could enroll him into KG's graduate program for advanced rebounding, defense, and throwing elbows, Thompson could be very valuable.
