Yes!  This would be a fantastic no-brainer.  With Ilyasova in, they can get rid of Davis and use that money elsewhere.

Ilyasova rebounds better than Davis, shoots better from inside and outside the arc, and isn't the head case that Davis is (seemingly).

Ilyasova's size helps down low, though he can't play center like Davis did.  How much of an impact player are the C's truly going to get at #25; not a back-up center.  Might as well take a guy with size and experience under his belt.

If you're going to lose/give up on Davis anyway, there are much worse players you can swap in than Ilyasova.  He would be a steal for the #25 pick.

And the kicker, Ainge can still buy another late-first rounder or early-second rounder.  Nothing stopping him from doing that, other than Wyc.

It's seriously slow these days at work. I'm refreshing Hoopshype's rumor section almost on a minute-by-minute basis. They listed the link.

For trade rumors, I can't stress how incredible twitter is as a resource.

As in horribly bad? I've always found twitter trade rumors to be of the "I'll tweet about every rumor I hear of so I can claim to have predicted the 5% of the rumors that almost sorta resemble something I mentioned".

How bout BBD sign and trade plus draft pick for Ersan and Dooling

We make use of Davis' bird rights, plus get a stretch 4 than does play solid D, hits 3s, and rebounds.
Dooling too could replace or back West as an injury backup
Can't stop, Rondo!

All trade rumors have at best like 10% accuracy.

Twitter is by far the best resource. If you're looking at trade rumors, you're not looking for 'news', you're looking for basketball gossip.

See, I don't know why we do this. Ilyasova's year last season doesn't merit a huge contract, so resigning him wouldn't be a big deal if it came to it (if he was receptive), and with Marquis Daniels' trade exception, we don't need to do really anything. We let BBD walk for zero money on our part, and we get Ilyasova at half the cost.

I'm in for this trade. Ersan has been a part of some very good defenses and he is pretty solid offensively. Plus...Turk Nowitzki would immediately skyrocket to best nickname on the team.

I’ve coveted Ilyasova for awhile.  I love how hard he works on the boards.  A bit like Baby in that he’s more skilled than effective offensively.  A great deal if he really could be had for the #25 pick.

(almost) Anyone other than Baby.

Obviously Ilyasova as our main big off the bench is far from ideal, but still an upgrade.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

both bucks and celtics are over the cap so we need to send them back a player, and quis TE is not large enough to take on his contract. unless you're willing to get rid of bradley.

could shaq's expiring be dealt if he retired ? he didn't/won't opt in of course

The Marquis exception should fit him.  Ilyasova's salary for this season is $2,320,500, and the trade exception is $2,388,000 (+$100k).

Since we haven't hit the end of the league year yet, you look at the 2011 salary, rather than the 2012 one.

Actually, the TE is just big enough.

Not until 6/30, IIRC.
