Top tier -- K.Irving, D.Williams

Second tier - B.Biyombo, E.Kanter, K.Leonard and Jonas Valanciunas

Third tier - Alec Burks, Markeiff Morris, Jan Vesley

-------------------------

That is 9 of my top 10. Unsure on the last player. Looking at C.Singleton and K.Thompson.

Edit: The reason K.Faried isn't here is because I have read mixed reports on his defensive ability. I just don't have a firm enough grasp on what he is capable of on that end of the floor in the NBA to put him in the top ten.

However, if those positive reports are accurate, then he is my tenth guy. I'd like him to be able to defend the PF position at a very good or higher level.

Edit: No longer looking at Klay Thompson. Not convinced. Very good three point shooter but not convinced there is much else to him.

Biyombo on 2nd tier?  That's pretty high in my eyes.

Reasoning, Who?

Biyombo has elite athleticism and a terrific mindset / mentality to the game which I think gives him the opportunity to become an elite defender + elite possession creator.

This is solely based on what I have read and heard about the players.

I don't watch college basketball as I've said in the past ... just in case anyone doesn't know or remember me saying that in past.

----------------------------------------------

The reason I don't like B.Knight because of all of the criticism about his ability to run an offense and his overall passing ability. Not a fan of PGs who struggle in these areas.

-----------------------

I was looking at him as a poor man's Jrue Holiday but someone else, on another thread here on C'Blog, I forget who, compared him to Lou Williams which sounds like a very good comparison to me based on what I have read about him.

A guy who could be a 17-20ppg threat as a starter but best used a sixth man scoring PG due to his flaws as floor general. Just like Lou Will.

---------------------------

Knight does have very good upside though if he can improve his PG skills. Probably more than anyone else outside of my top ten.

Just not convinced enough about him achieving that given his current lack of PG skills. That is why he slipped out of my top 10.

I am thinking that J.Vesley turns into a Marvin Williams type player.

A guy who is capable of doing a wide range of very impressive things on the basketball court but never puts it all it together into a consistent whole package.

Good reason.  I didn't watch a ton of him last year and I think he is inflated because of John Wall.  But I also think Irving is inflated.  He has basically ++ high-school experience because he missed so much time this year.

I think Cleveland should be taking Williams, regardless of fit.  I saw him play a number of times and he is a polished NBA-ready player.  Not sure if he'll project but he's a better bet than Irving i.m.o.

Here's a long-shot for your 3rd tier - Kenneth Farid.

Yeah, Faried is very interesting.

I don't know what to make his defense though. I have read a lot of mixed reports about him. Love his rebounding and nose for the ball.

If the positive reports about his defense are accurate, he's in my top ten.
