Take your best bet on who the C's will pick and who you think they should pick and why.

I have to look at a couple of mock drafts before I decide.

Who they should pick:  Nikola Vucevic/Kenneth Faried/Jeremy Tyler

Who they will pick: Reggie Jackson/Tyler Honeycutt

I so hope I'm wrong on this.

That's exactly how I feel Don, but I say scratch Jeremy Tyler.  I remember when the story came out and he decided to forgo his senior year to play overseas and how much of a bad decision I thought that was and I am still weary of him.

Overwise I'm right there with you on everything.

My personal favorite choice would be Kenneth Faried.

Greg Anthony NBA TV analyst seems to really like Honeycutt.

Should: Jimmy Butler*
Will: Tyler Honeycutt**

*He's my new flavor of the day.  I do like him, though.
**I used to be higher on Honeycutt than I am now.  The more I read and think about this guy, the more I am reminded of Gabe Pruitt (albeit lankier, longer, different LA school).
Celtics fan for life.

I'm definitely wary of the kid, myself.

I just feel like its worth it at #25 to try and hit a home run.  He's one of those high risk/high reward guys and the ceiling appears to be higher with him than almost anyone else who will be available there.  Why not try?  If they strike out, tough luck.

With this being such a week draft I see where you're coming from with taking Tyler.

Should: Johnson from Purdue or Thompkins from UGA.

Will:  Either Jackson from BC (Please lord don't let that happen) or Selby from KU.

Im still praying for Kenneth Faried although the odds are surely against it.

I still honestly believe we trade out of the first round

I have a feeling Danny moves up to take Faried. Have read nothing about him doing so, just a gut feeling.

As long as the cost to the Celtics isn't too high to move up, I'd been fine with that.

Hope your gut is right.

If they stay in place or move down I'd like Tyler, Butler, Johnson and Thompkins in that order.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Here is the write up from draft express on Jimmy Butler.

"Looking through the rest of this class of forwards, a few things stand out. First is how well Jimmy Butler seems to rank in virtually every category, starting with overall offensive efficiency (6th), and continuing with turnover rate (2nd best), free throw rate (2nd) and transition scoring (2nd). If he can improve his ability to make shots with his feet set (13th, 36% FG) he will likely carve out a long career for himself considering how staunch of a defender he is."

Staunch defender.  I like that.

He does duplicate what Jeff Green brings to the table but imagine having the two 6'8" athletes running along side rondo.  The thought of that, makes me drool.

Will Pick. Nikola Vucevic

Should Pick? Tyler Honeycutt, Nikola Mirotic, Jujuan Johnson, or Jeremy Tyler

I think Honeycutt and Johnson can contribute right away and have some upside. Mirotic is said to have all star potential, but the downside is he has contract issues in Europe. I'm not really crazy about Jeremy Tyler, but his athleticism was compared to Shawn Kemp in an article i read yesterday. I'd definitely take a flyer on any big man that could jump like Kemp.

IMO, drafting for need in the first round of a weak draft is pointless. The big men projected this late are pretty much projects, but we need our players now so drafting to fill a need is pointless. I say draft BPA or potential and have a good player who can be traded at least.
