In reviewing the Wolves and Suns talk, I was thinking, doesn't this make a lot more sense:

Phoenix Trades: Robin Lopez
Minnesota Trades: Michael Beasley

Well, supposedly the Suns want Williams.  But, I think #2 for Gortat and #13 (or whenever the Suns pick is) would make a lot of sense (I saw this mentioned on another board).

That seems like an awfully stiff price for the Suns to pay.

Yeah, that would be a pretty fair trade.

M.Beasley is the more gifted player but I'd feel better betting on R.Lopez to get it than I would betting on Beasley. Not sure I do it if I am Phoenix. Certainly tempting though. Beasley would make a really nice third option if he pulls it together.

It is simpler.  I think the #2 and #13 picks need to be included as well  -- as someone else wrote, PHO is really after Williams.

I think most of us would agree that the Wolves would improve by trading Beasley (addition by subtraction), but I doubt Kahn shares that view. He'd want more than Lopez in exchange.

A swap of the #13 and #20 picks too?

The Williams thing seems like way too much to pay, I'd much prefer to have:

Gortat
#13 pick
Beaseley

than

R. Lopez &
Derrick Williams
