Forget about matchups.

It seems that Perk is always "not suited" to his opponent when he plays poorly on this board.

OKC's defense was worse than poor that game. Memphis had WIDE open looks the entire night. The fact that Perk is so darn slow made the situation worse. 114 points in a playoff game is pretty ridiculous.

Totally agree.  There really aren't many centers in the mold of Shaq and Dwight Howard anymore where Perk only has to keep them away from the basket since they have no semblance of offensive moves (I know, Shaq did have a bit of a post game).  Most centers these days are in the mold of Kaman, Bogut, Gasol, etc.  So Perk will have trouble defending more than half the centers in the league, especially the decent ones.  At $9 million, he's way overpaid for what he does.
