In the Big Three era, the Celtics are 8-11 in games where they have the opportunity to close out the series.  More disturbingly, they are just 1-9 on the road in these games.

Perhaps, but how many of those games were the Celtics
up 3-0 for ?

remember the ECF last year?  :(

don't talk about the broom, just sweep the Bricks!!!

I'm still waiting for a Jeff Green breakout game, running with Rondo on the fast break. If we get some rebounding from our big men he could do it.

Don't count out the Bricks, though, they are a bad team but they can put 110 points on any given night. I want the sweep, but the Celtics have to earn it. Go Celtics!!!

TP, FL, for your great job once again, and TPs all around, because Q_FBE started it in last game's thread and it worked out well .

Carmelo Anthony quote from the Globe's Celtics Blog today.

Quote
Anthony said all the right things today. "If we've got to foul somebody, if we've got to knock somebody out, we've got to do whatever we can to avoid a sweep," he said.

First - how Mr. Dzen, is that saying the right things?  And second, this is pretty inflammatory talk.  He should get fined for this.

Celtics win today and it will be quite awhile until they play at home again

Considering the amount of Heat fans that show up at the AAA arena (ex:not many?), that could be the Celtics' home away from home.  :D

No official word but it sounds doubtful

Amare starting is so he doesn't look like he quit. Don't expect him to do too much

Celtics just need to play their game. Remember we have yet to see the big offensive game from KG and our bench is due.

Historically, this would be the point where the C's relax=="ah, got where we want em'.  And have to come back another day with more effort to finish 'em off.  Far more efficient to DO IT NOW! Get it done!

I'm hoping to see lots of hard, physical D on Amare early and often. Take him out of the game if he can't hack it.

(no i'm not saying outright hurt him. But you know he's vulnerable to back spasms and the moment and probably going to play tenatively. Take advantage of that, make him dig deep and play through pain, or ask to be benched.)

I think we're going to blow them out tonight, hardcore style.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Just got home from Berlin about half an hour ago, just in time for the game  :) I met an old friend (who is a Bulls fan) on the ferry from Germany, he spotted me in my Pierce BOSTON jersey.

Alright, time to bury the Knicks!

TP, Go Celts!

If Miami blows their sweep and we get ours...it'll be a very nice Easter for us.  But our end is much more important.

Go Celtics!  First sweep of the Big 3 era coming up!
