Whatever happened to a team not trading their pick in back to back years? Maybe it is different for the Clippers because they will end up having the T'wolves pick in 2012, but they owe the Cavs their 1st round pick in 2011 and the Celtics their pick in 2012. anyways, at best the Clippers pick will turn out to be a late lottery pick in a couple years but we could very well end up with two second round picks if the Clippers continue being bad.
Honestly, the pick is so heavily protected, we would be better off trading it in a future deal.
And for what it's worth, if we had kept that first round Minny pick that we had traded back to Minny in 2007, it would have ended up being a second round pick in 2012, so it can happen.
