im surprised by all the nyc is dumb, denver got what they wanted-type posts.  

new york is legit now.  billups, melo, and amare....thats a REALLY good core.  i guess i will be in the minority that says the knicks robbed the nuggets  

You don't win basketball championships with 3 players. No matter how good those 3 guys are.

u win with stars.  its easier to build role players around the stars than vice versa. knicks got the stars now

You win with defense. Unless Amar'e and Melo magically turn into adequate defenders overnight, NY is not winning a championship.

That entire team is going to be crazy I cant wait to see it.

Sorry defense wins when it matters the most and with Mike D'Antoni continuing to be at the helm for the Knicks they will have none of that.

Really good? I don't know about that. Good core yes but I'm not sure Knicks are looking at Billups as a long term player for them. He's there to hold Paul's place or whomever they will target next year or after.

the knicks are 100 times better now than they were yesterday. are they championship contenders, no...but they are relevant and have taken their first step towards trying to be an upper echelon team.

Miami's not getting another max guy anytime soon. Unless the new CBA is absolutely out of control.

I dont expect them to be a contender but they will be exciting to watch and they definately have the pieces in Amare and Melo to get even better in the future.
