We knew this Sox team wasn't going to be down forever.

They are too talented offensively...we just really need 2 or 3 decent starters and we'll be in the playoffs.

I'd rather the struggle come early than later.

Same deal for the C's, struggle before the playoffs, not during....if struggle at all.

Pitching continues to suck . . .

I think it's going to take them a while just to climb up to .500.  Even longer to get over it.

If I had to predict their total wins for the season, I'd say 85 wins.  Miss the playoffs by 9 or 10 games.

This team just has no spark or energy, especially the ptiching ... it's like they just expected these trades to automatically put them into the post-season, so they're just giving half the effort they normally would. I know that's probably not the case, but that's the kind of energy they're projecting ... it really sucks being a Sox fan right now.

Finally starting to look decent.  If they can ride this momentum and sweep the Rays (like they should) they could be sitting at 5-7.  I'd take it.

Seriously, the Red Sox are getting blasted by the freaking Rays?

I think the baseball gods are punishing the Red Sox very harshly for the hubris of '100 games.'

It's friggen Dice-K what's not to expect... Dice you gotta look at least decent so we can trade you for a catcher at the deadline.

Hey guess what it's game 10 of 162... I think they're still is a lot of time for the Sox to win over 90 games and win the AL East.

After all it is just APRIL!!

They're digging themselves one helluva hole right now.  It might just be April, but these games still mean something in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah they do, but baseball is a long season.  We had a terrible start to the last season and managed to make it to fist in the AL East before all the injuries came.

Hard to focus on the Red Sox with the Celtics about to hit playoffs, and with the NFL draft around the corner.

Still, would be nice to see them playing at least .500 ball.
Celtics fan for life.

NFL Draft?  They don't have games for the NFL Draft so I don't see how it's hard to focus on the Sox while that is going on.

No, probably not.  But at some point we have to face that the team we're seeing night in and night out is the actual team.  At some point, they are who they are.  They still have time to turn it around, but right now they look like a legitimately bad team, regardless of how much talent they have on paper.

This team is to talented to be playing this kind of baseball.  They will snap out of it, but they need to do it fast.
