Making matters worse, my daughter keeps asking me "When is it going to be over" (so we can watch a movie)

I don't think she's buying my "There's no clock in baseball." excuse.

Anyhow...I guess it's safe to turn it off.

Man, Bard was brutal.

Yeah, the Red Sox bullpen still seems rather poor.

I think it's going to take some time for this team to get it all together.

That said, the Yankees took a while to get it together after their revamp two years ago (which led to a World Series).

That's what I was about to point out.

Lackey + Lester to start the season = Lackluster.

I agree, but remember, the Rangers are one of the best offenses in the league.  This is the team(minus Cliff Lee) that went to the world series last season.  Hopefully Clay can get us a win tomorrow.
do it

And they're missing Guerero.  The Rangers IMO (at this time, Yankees will make a move) are out biggest challenge of getting to the WS.

What's going on with all of these home runs?  Is the Rangers stadium just really short and built for home runs, or are the Red Sox pitchers really leaving the ball in the strike zone that much?

Red Sox going to be 0-4.  At least the pitching was pretty decent tonight (especially the bullpen, so far anyway).  Hitting has been pretty weak, though.

Well, it's 4 games, which is proportionally 2 games in the NBA and a 1/4 of a game in the NFL.

Annoying?  Yes.  Great material for the Boston and national media?  Yes.  Could they still win 100 games?  Yes.

Yeah.  I like that on PTI they admitted that it means absolutely nothing.  Nothing that happens in April means anything whatsoever.  There are still over 150 games left.
