Yeah, how can Love not make it?

Hopefully Duncan will start at center, and Love will be named a replacement.
I think Love was borderline. He's a rebounding beast but the rest of his game is lacking.

Duncan or Pau should start. I think Odom or Love should be the injury replacement.

21.4 points per game.  That's 16th in the NBA, which isn't too shabby.  Among those players, he's tied for 7th in FG%, and his eFG% puts him even higher.

Man - this is awesome.....and the potential to have Dwight possibly (probably!) playing with Ray, KG, Paul and Rondo at some point in the All-Star game?

This could be BIG.....

I am truly sorry to see that Lamar Odom didn't make it. IMO, he is the most important Laker. He has provided LA with everything it needs this year, and has brought nearly it every night?

It seems as if he's the first one blamed if LA loses....he has not complained..has not sulked. Matured during the Summer Games, and was instrumental in bringing the US Gold? And his consistent play has carried over from that?

And Lamar's Defense is vastly under-rated. To my memory, he's been one of the few that has shown any ability to slow down Blake Griffin. He was vital in Blake's 7-20 game vs the Lakers.

And he just had a 20-20 game vs HOU....

Congrats to those who did make it, but Lamar Odom Deserves to be An NBA All-Star. I honestly believe that.

His scoring is greatly enhanced by being on a terrible team without a number one offensive option, they also play at the fastest pace in the nba.

Then you get onto his defense, which is horrific. He's a good player but I think he's borderline.

Minnesota only have 11 wins and 37 losses. They have the second worst record in the league with a winning percentage of .223 which projects them to finish with 19 wins.

Kevin Love does not deserve to be an All-Star. His gaudy statistics are not a reflection of his true worth. He is a good player but he's not there (All-Star level) yet.

I lot of chicago fans are complaining about the selections saying that Deng or Boozer should have made it over Allen or Joe Johnson.

Seriously Deng?

I think anyone who can avg 21.5 & 16 in the NBA no matter what team they play for deserves an All-Star spot. He's also 9th in 3pt% at 6'11". When's the last time a guy had a 30-30 game and wasn't an All-Star?

Edit: Also super that our 4 guys made it!

Seriously Deng?

Yeah I've heard that too...ridiculous. Look at the stats:

Deng: 17.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.5 apg, .45 FG%, .73 FT%, .35 3pt% in 39 mpg

Allen: 17.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3 apg, .50 FG%, .85 FT%, .45 3pt% in 35 mpg

All Deng has over Allen is rebounds and a very slight edge in scoring. Other than that Ray dominates Deng in every statistical category.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Interesting fact about this year's all-stars: 5 of them came straight from high school.
