Hopefully all 4 make it. I am not a fan of the 'better if they rest' school of thought because the ASG is part of their legacy as players. I am not going to root against their legacies.

"I had a chance to talk with four different Eastern Conference coaches about their reserve selections, and all four said that they included the C's Big Four on their list of all-star reserves.

"I don't see how you couldn't include all four of them," one coach said. "All four of those guys are either the best or second-best player at their position in the East."

Added another coach, "The only one who might not get in is Ray, which would be a shame. He's one of the greatest shooters to ever play the game. And the crazy thing is, he's shooting the ball better now than he ever has. How is that guy not an All-Star?"
"

That's from A Sherod Blakely; with all that support for Ray seems like he's got a great shot.  Note sure if the voting is done by just the East coaches for the East team or if it's league wide.

Doc wants four stars: Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he thinks the Celtics deserve four All-Star reserves in Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett. Those reserves will officially be announced Thursday night. "I think we should get four guys on the roster," said Rivers. "If I don't, I'd be very disappointed. And if I do, I'm going to play them all together. That way we can run offense in the All-Star game and that would be a first."

All-Star chatter part II: Rivers said the fun part about getting four stars would not only be playing them together, but figuring out who would be the fifth non-Celtics player on the floor. "There's some interesting combinations you can throw out there." So who would his most likely choice be? "Whoever is closest to free agency," he said with a laugh. "Just to see how it would feel."

LOL. Good to see Doc thinking ahead  ;D

Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Congrats to Rondo, Pierce, KG, and Ray, they all deserved it!

Was really happy to see Ray make it. Although I'm suprised Joe Johnson made it too? No Bogut?

What about the West Coast? I'm away from a T.V.

Westbrook, Dirk, Pau, Deron, Griffin, Manu, and Tim Duncan all made it.

Thanks...Too bad Love didn't make it. I would have liked to see Blake and Love play together.

Yeah, how can Love not make it?

Hopefully Duncan will start at center, and Love will be named a replacement.

I think so too, though I wouldn't complain about Aldridge getting it either.  Stern tends to lean toward established vets with these picks though.

Yeah I think he was deserving too, but I think the record of the Wolves is what hindered him. Although Griffin made it, so I don't know.
