You know what makes this victory so sweet?

Kobe and Phil wanted it bad don't believe for a second they didn't

the taunting of Shaq, and Marquis by Kobe

when Odom checks in and as they wont on a run that giddy laughing on his face-

mwahahhhahaa

Probably already been mentioned many times. But nice to win this one for Perk. Seems like his whole return was geared toward coming back and beating the Fakers to prove that they got lucky and that the starting 5 are still undefeated in a playoff series.

Pretty Awesome!

Great, great win.  Rondo, despite dishing out 16 assists, left me with a somewhat bad feeling for parts of the game.  While I can't exactly blame him for looking for his own offense with the way PP was playing, I'd like to see him try to hurt Kobe more when Kobe guards him.

While I don't completely agree with everything Jerry West said, Kobe is getting older.  Rondo should look to go at him from the get go and wear him out/draw him into foul trouble.

Also, I didn't love Rondo letting Fisher get by him a few times.

I know I'm nit-picking, as Rondo had a nice game; however, I think we're going to need to see more of that to beat them in a 7-game series.

Though I think the Lakers are looking a step slower.  They might not be there in the end.

laker fans throwing gasoft under the bus and backing over him

I know...a lot of them are ready to trade him already..lol. I love it when the Faker nation is miserable.

It's sad, really.

Pau Gasol was not the reason LA lost today. Kobe tried to put the team on his back, and once again failed.

He did not run the offense through Gasol, which makes them a better team when they do.

The way that KG was today, though - even if Kobe tried to diversify, it wouldn't have helped much.

I think I saw about 6 "ESPN Trade Machine" formulas including Pau Gasol when I was observing Silver Screen and Roll.

They are throwing the man under the bus, and it ain't right.

I'd dare Laker fans to throw Kobe under the bus, just once. He was the reason they lost this one.

Or maybe they could throw Artest (1-10) or Fisher (1-6) under the bus instead.

Wow, looking at the boxscore we outrebounded them 43-30, which is great, but out-assisted them 34-10  :o which is incredible.  7 guys with at least 2 dimes.  Amazing ball movement.

That usually happens when one guy like Kobe tries to win the game all by his lonesome. Rondo was racking up all kinds of helpers in the 2nd half (15 assists in the 2nd half) Help me Rondo, Help, Help me Rondo.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I don't wish injury on anyone but what made this victory sweeter was we beat up on them physically and didn't back down, consider the message sent:

Quote
Artest was hampered with a sore left thigh after a collision with Shaq in the 1st quarter and Bynum was held out of practice the following day due to a sore left knee from contact

I am just responding to bump the thread because remembering spanking the Lakers never gets old.

So true.  So this was a bigger win for Celts than it would have been for the Lakers.  However, it was a bigger loss for the Lakers than it would have been for the Celts.

Make sense?
