  • What a Pub Should Be
Just had the evening commute from hell here in Chicago.

White out conditions, 40+ mph winds, and a couple inches an hour that is expected to escalate. Supposedly the waves on Lake Michigan are expected to get up to 25 feet. There is thunder & lightening going on right now in the middle of a snowstorm! Its bad, I mean real bad out there right now.  No joke.

They actually shut down Lake Shore Drive.  Unfortunately they didn't do that until after I was stuck on a bus in traffic on it.   :P

Wow ... doesn't sound like much fun at all ... we've got some on the way, (Maine). Glad you made it home safely in time for the game! ;)

I remember some bad ones from living back in MA but this one is already right up there and its supposedly not reached full intensity yet.  Its pretty insane out there.

The weather in southwest TX isn't too good, either. We're expecting snow on Friday and it feels like 20 degrees right now.

They've already canceled school and closed everything from Boston north to where I live in Maine ... I've heard two reports, but the latest was 18 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow with high winds ... and the thermometer didn't get above 2F (-17C) today ... ugh! (At least the temp should rise a bit with the snow storm).

I hear ya, Rondo.  I am going on my 15th year down here in Paradise.  Befor that I spent about 49 years between MA and NH, chipping, shovelling, and swearing! (I gave myself a year off for "migrating," lol  I earned my time down here and I am enjoying it!  ha  ha ha

Consider those previous 49 years character building.  ;)

Out of a firm of 200+ people, we had less than 50 employees at work yesterday...

It wasn't even that bad out.
