The 15 seconds embarrassed thread made me thing of this.  

I admit to some minor creative mischief at the end.

I'm going with America the Beautiful.

I'm not comfortable with ordering God to Bless us, and the current one is just about one particular battle.

I think "America the Beautiful", (the traditional version), is much more descriptive about our country than one of a battle and the flag, and should have been our National Anthem, but I really don't see how public sentiment could ever be altered enough to change the one we have ... it's what we have come to recognize and traditionally accept as such.

I love it.  This would totally change the atmosphere too.  Instead of everybody being quite, just think of how the crowd would explode every time they play the "anthem."

Why does it have to be "the Ray Charles version"? 

I will go with America the Beautiful.  It is a beautiful song about a beautiful country, and (best part) can actually be sung by everyone...no operatic range needed.

I would love "Real American" as the National Anthem.  The only downside is that it would inflate Hulk Hogan's already oversized ego to astronomical levels.

Kenny Powers also used this song when he made his Mexican baseball debut on Eastbound and Down.
